Dear Devoted Readers,
I once again must riddle my usually happy blog with unfortunate events. Namely, the Godsend publication True Girl will be no more as of September 30th. I will not be on the cover, I will no longer be a teen editor. It will no longer reach all the girls who are longing for a Catholic perspective of our culture. It Is No More. It has taken exactly a week for it to set in. But I wanted to post it because I know at least for me, it was a dear part of my life and I will miss it sorely.
Well, I suppose I'll go frolic in the sun with the bunny now.
May God shower each of you with his blessings.
P.S. On a happier note, I finshed, yes FINISHED the Moonstone today. Excellent read! ROMANTIC AND THRILLING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mostly a place to organize books I've read. Occasional pictures and thoughts when the mood strikes.

New Name :)
My Dear Readers,
As you might have noticed I, formerly Cinia, have assumed a new name - 847 wishes. This inspiration came to me at Mass today as Fr. Michael Dodds O.P. was preaching about Christ. He was telling us about how the world trys to convince us that we are stupid; therefore we need other poeple's help. He said for example, when he typed in 3 wishes into google, over 800,000 sites would come up offering to help him choose what they would be. When he typed in 1 wish, over a million came up. Yet when he typed in 847 there were zero sites because no one would help you for that many.
That made an impression on me, because I want my name to remind me that no one should decide my life for me, except for God. Just like if I had 847 wishes, because no one would help me decide how to use them.
I apologize if that doesn't make sense, a lot has happened today and I'm a little out sorts. But for now, that's my new name, and I like it.
Here's the almost worthwhile site of the post: www.theknot.com/jennythompson&anthonypodegracz
Anthony is one of my 2nd cousins, and I love the story of how he proposed - ROMANTIC!

I'm so happy!
Dear Everyone (who actually reads this,
It is my wonderful news which brings me again to these places which I seldom frequent. I won the Truegirl (www.truegirlonline.net) cover girl contest! I'm flying out to the photoshoot in Illinois at the beginning of June, so I'll keep you guys posted on that, but basically I'm realy happy/excited about that! The first of my highschool goals FULFILLED! Just for the record, the other ones are in my (updated) profile. Check them out! Do you guys have any goals? If so, COMMENT WITH THEM. I love having goals! They rock! :D
Also, I guess that's it...I have more new pen-pals, bringing my total up to about 15 or so...;) Wahoo! Oh, I also found this RAD site...it totally rocks...but I wouldn't quite go so far as to make it a 'worthwhile site pick'. www.chocolateshow.com what an idea! YUM! ;P.
Well.......until my next post...I love you all!
Love,
Chelly

What-Not

Today I made Cranberry cookies. I took a shower, cleaned the upstairs floors, and played hockey in the driveway with Louie. I fixed a string of lights on our tree. found two ducks (whom I named Bert and Janie) in the pond, and I let Anna hop outside. I wrapped presents, and watched Louie & Luke throw rocks into the pond. I watched the Nativity Story last night. I loved it. St. Joseph was my favorite. Fr. Jose gave me a wonderful Confession yesterday, I love our priests! Fr. Bernard was also hearing them, but I felt like going to Fr. Jose instead. So far, I have only eaten one candy cane this year. Most remarkable. Our new neighbors gave us a huge bag brimming with different homemade gifts. They live to give. They are quite sweet! I have ventured into the world of card making and so far have made 12. I used calligraphy and Christmas rubber stamps. I was bored so I made them for all of our near neighbors. It was satisfying. Today it hasn't rained! Most remarkable, if you ask me. Now I think I will go outside, and fine something to do, perhaps in the fire barrier, perhaps somewhere else. May you have the rest of a Blessed Advent and a Joyful and Peaceful Christmas.
Love,
Michelle
