sad news

Dear Devoted Readers,

I once again must riddle my usually happy blog with unfortunate events. Namely, the Godsend publication True Girl will be no more as of September 30th. I will not be on the cover, I will no longer be a teen editor. It will no longer reach all the girls who are longing for a Catholic perspective of our culture. It Is No More. It has taken exactly a week for it to set in. But I wanted to post it because I know at least for me, it was a dear part of my life and I will miss it sorely.
Well, I suppose I'll go frolic in the sun with the bunny now.
May God shower each of you with his blessings.

P.S. On a happier note, I finshed, yes FINISHED the Moonstone today. Excellent read! ROMANTIC AND THRILLING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A variety of things...

Hello dear readers!

First of all, Happy Eve of the Feast of St. Lawrence!
Second of all, Happy Eve of the Birthdays of my mother and Raph!
Third of all, I have an awesome new friend named Br. Peter Junipero O.P.
I met him while he was out visiting and we had a really awesome conversation about vocations. So he's my spritual prayer partner. He is so cool!

Next, I have an inspirational passage from the Blithsdale Romance which I am currently reading thanks to the pen of my good friend Nathaniel Hawthorne.

"'Die in a ditch!' muttered gruff Silas, with genuine Yankee intolerance of any intermission of toil, except on Sunday, the fourth of July, the autumnal cattleshow, Thanksgiving, or the annual Fast. 'Die in a ditch! I believe, in my conscience, you would, if there were no steadier means than your own labor to keep you out of it!'"

Yes, it is a wonderful book, which I highly recommend.

Prayer Request

Dear beloved readers,

I am posting again, because I must beg your prayers.
First, for my grandfather who passed away this morning, August 3rd.

Second, is for my father. It has been incredibly hard for him watching his father die, besides the fact that he is currently on a liquid only diet because of a procedure he is having tomorrow at the hospital. He has also recently had a friend commit suicide, and all of that is weighing down on him. Since he is athiest he does not have the comfort of a religion and God, so he sees death as an end, not a beginning.

Thank you and I love you all! Each and every one of you. :)
